Paula Faris departure from “The Views” and “Good Morning America” and she will take a new role at ABC News. She has been a weekend anchor at GMA for nearly four years, joining GMA from ABC’s overnight World News Now, where she had been for a year.
Paula Faris joined the “The View” panelists in summer of 2015. This season, she’s been appearing on the show mostly on Fridays. The news was first announced by ABC News President James Goldston, who sent a memo to ABC employee notifying about Paul’s departure from the two shows and further mentioned that she’ll be hosting a podcast related to faith. He said, “To have time to cover stories in-depth, Paula will leave the weekend editions of GMA and The View at the end of the season. In four years at weekend GMA and three seasons at the Hot Topics table, Paula has played an important role at both shows, offering an insightful and intelligent take on the big stories of the day. She’s been instrumental to their success.”
Later on, Paula also tweeted her gratitude towards her current shows’ teams and thanking ABC for trusting her with a bigger responsibility. She revealed the reason for her departure was to maintain a healthy work-personal life balance. She is the mother of three kids, Caroline, JJ, and Landon. And, she also suffered from a terrible miscarriage, expressed her excitement of not having to go to sleep at 8 or 9 p.m. and wake up at 3:30 a.m. for appearing in the television. With this decision, she can spare some more time for children and husband of 17 years, John Krueger.
In 2014, Paula joined “Good Morning America” as a weekend co-anchor and made her first appearance in the show on 9 August. She started working on “The View” in its nineteenth season in 2015. Before joining GMA, she served as a co-host for “ABC’s World News Now” and “America This Morning”

Likewise. The second incident has happened just a few weeks later than the first event. While she was driving an automobile, her car crashed and got injured in the head.
